What are send limits?
Send limits define the maximum number of emails that can be sent from an email account each day. Every email service provider has its own send limits, which could be daily, hourly, or even per minute.
How do they affect me?
To send emails from your Distrobird dashboard, Distrobird connects your email inbox (e.g., Gmail, Office 365, Ymail), and every email sent from your Distrobird dashboard is sent through your connected email inbox.
Although Distrobird sets no limit to the number of emails you can send, your email service provider does, and emails sent via Distrobird are still bound by the restrictions put in place by your email provider. To avoid having your email account flagged as a potential spammer or even suspended temporarily, it's important to keep an eye on the restrictions set by your email provider and not exceed them, especially when conducting massive outbound email campaigns.
What happens when I hit my send limit?
Reaching your send limit implies that you have sent too many emails per day or hour and must wait until your suspension period is over before sending any more emails from that account.
Note: Note: Every email sent from your email address is subject to send limits. This includes emails sent as part of campaigns as well as follow-up emails sent from the same email address.
