By using our simple rule builder, you can create automation rules to handle repetitive tasks in your workflows. This will help you save time and cut down on manual work so that your team can focus on what matters most.
The rule builder is made up of 3 parts:
- The event (trigger)- Events are triggers that kickstart the activation of a rule. They outline the kind of occurrence that will cause Distrobird to review the conditions of your rule and determine whether they have been met.
- If (filters)- Filters are an optional part of a trigger that can be used to narrow the scope of triggers to determine whether or not a rule will be activated. Filters are only considered when a trigger is fired.
- Action- Actions specify what will happen when a rule is met.
When these components are combined, it creates a rule. For example, when X event happens (event), if Y conditions are met (filter), then do Z (action).
Follow these steps to create a rule:
- Select Automations from the hamburger menu on the side navigation. This will take you to your All Sequences page, where you can navigate through the Sequence and Workflow tabs.
- Select the Workflow tab. This will take you to your All Workflows page.
- On your All workflows page, select a workflow you want to build and rule for to open the rule builder.
