10-Digit Long Code, refers to the regular 10-digit phone numbers utilized for sending bulk SMS messages and making voice calls. Unlike personal phone numbers, these 10DLCs are mainly used for business purposes. In the United States, businesses seeking to send SMS messages to customers are required to undergo 10DLC registration. Registering for a 10DLC ensures the consistent and dependable delivery of SMS messages, establishing a reliable communication channel with major U.S. operators.
What is meant by "brand" and "campaign" in the 10DLC form?

To proceed with brand registration, check the box to confirm your agreement to make a one-time, non-refundable payment of $6.00.
After completing the form, click "Save" to submit the form and register your brand.
Once a brand is created, it is initially assigned an identity_status of unknown. We recommend waiting until your brand has been verified; at that point, the identity_status will be changed to verified before requesting vetting. Although the vetting request is automatically allowed upon registration, the actual vetting process will not commence until the brand registration has been verified.
Vetting Your 10DLC Brand
After successfully registering your 10DLC brand, if you aim to achieve higher messaging throughput for the campaigns created under your brand, it's important to undergo a brand vetting process. In this process, a third-party organization assesses the details provided during your brand registration, generating a vetting score. While a high score could potentially enhance the throughput of your 10DLC company brand and associated campaigns, it's important to note that vetting doesn't guarantee an increase in throughput.
Additionally, please be aware that vetting scores won't impact campaigns that have already been launched. For optimal results, it's advisable to vet your company or brand before initiating any new 10DLC campaigns.
To vet your 10DLC registration follow these steps:
Vetting Request Tab
- Select the desired provider and vetting class for your vetting request - Click on this dropdown to choose your desired provider for the vetting request. The available providers are Aegis Mobile and WMC Global.
- Vetting Class - Click on this dropdown to select if you want a Standard or Enhanced vetting class. Then, click Apply for Vetting.
And that’s it! After the vetting is complete, the brand will have an identity_status of "vetted verified," representing the highest form of verification.
