10-Digit Long Code refers to the regular 10-digit phone numbers utilized for sending bulk SMS messages and making voice calls. Unlike personal phone numbers, these 10DLCs are mainly used for business purposes. In the United States, businesses seeking to send SMS messages to customers are required to undergo 10DLC registration. Registering for a 10DLC ensures the consistent and dependable delivery of SMS messages, establishing a reliable communication channel with major U.S. operators.
What is meant by "brand" and "campaign" in the 10DLC form?
When filling out the 10DLC form, it's essential to understand the specific terms used, such as:
Brand: Brand refers to your company's name. Each company will have a singular brand registered with the Campaign Registry.
Campaign: Campaign refers to the category or type of messages your company intends to send via SMS.

In this section, provide the necessary details for the individual who will serve as your company's point of contact throughout the 10DLC registration process. Include the person's email address and phone number for effective communication.
- Billing Details

To proceed with brand registration, check the box to confirm your agreement to make a one-time, non-refundable payment of $6.00.
After completing the form, click "Save" to submit the form and register your brand.
When a brand is first created, its identity_status is set to "unknown." We recommend waiting until the brand is verified before requesting vetting. Once verified, the identity_status will update to "verified."
While you can submit a vetting request immediately after registration, the vetting process will not begin until the brand registration is successfully verified.
Vetting Your 10DLC Brand
After registering your 10DLC brand, you may need to complete a brand vetting process to qualify for higher messaging throughput in your campaigns. During this process, a third-party organization reviews the details submitted during registration and assigns a vetting score. While a higher score may improve your brand’s messaging throughput, it does not guarantee an increase.
Important: Vetting scores do not affect campaigns that have already been launched. To maximize your messaging capabilities, it’s best to complete the vetting process before starting new 10DLC campaigns.
To vet your 10DLC registration follow these steps:
Brand details

-
Click on the actions icon on the brand, and click on the Brand details. This will open the Brand details slideout.
Vetting Request Tab
- In the Brand Details slide-out, click Next to navigate to the Vetting Request tab.
- Here, you’ll see any previous brand vetting requests.
- Select the desired provider and vetting class for your vetting request - Click on this dropdown to select a vetting provider. The available providers are Aegis Mobile and WMC Global.
-
Vetting Class - Click the dropdown to select either Standard or Enhanced vetting class.
- Click Apply for Vetting to submit your request.
And that’s it! After the vetting is complete, the brand will have an identity_status of "vetted verified," representing the highest form of verification.
