In Distrobird, managing your sequences efficiently is crucial for maintaining effective communication with your contacts. This guide will walk you through the steps to edit, delete, and clone sequences, allowing you to make necessary adjustments, remove outdated sequences, or create duplicates for similar campaigns.
Editing a Sequence
Follow these steps to edit an existing sequence:
- On the side navigation menu, click on the Campaign dropdown and select Sequences.
- On the Sequences page, find the sequence you want to edit.
- Hover over the sequence and click the edit icon(usually represented by a pen icon). This will open the sequence in edit mode, allowing you to modify details such as the sequence name, assigned members, exit delay, and audience.
- After making the necessary changes, click the Save button to update the sequence. Your changes will go into effect immediately for all active and future recipients.
Deleting a Sequence
Deleting sequences is permanent. Ensure that you no longer need the sequence before confirming deletion. To delete a sequence, follow these steps:
- On the side navigation menu, click on the Campaign dropdown and select "Sequences."
- On the Sequences page, locate the sequence you want to delete.
- Hover over the sequence and click the delete icon(usually represented by a trash can icon). A confirmation prompt will appear.
- Confirm that you want to delete the sequence. Note that this action is irreversible, and the sequence will be permanently removed.
Cloning a Sequence
Cloning a sequence duplicates the entire sequence, including the steps and settings for each step. However, the audience from the original sequence will not be cloned. To create a duplicate of an existing sequence, follow these steps:
- On the side navigation menu, click on the Campaign dropdown and select Sequences.
- On the Sequences page, find the sequence you want to clone.
- Hover over the sequence and click the clone icon(usually represented by a copy icon). This will open the sequence in create mode, allowing you to modify details of the cloned sequence, such as the sequence name, assigned members, exit delay, and audience.
- After making your changes, click the Save button to finalize the cloned sequence.
