Need to add contacts to an existing sequence? No problem, follow these steps:
- On the side navigation,
- On the Sequences
- On the selected sequence's page, click on the Audience tab
- On the Audience tab, click on the Manage Contacts button. This will open the Manage Contacts modal where you can add new contacts to the sequence.
- Use Groups/Segments - To add contacts to an active sequence using an existing group or segment, click on the Choose your audience dropdown to select the group or segment you'd like to add to the sequence. Pro Tip: Enable the Automatically update the audience toggle; this allows new contacts added to your selected group or segment to automatically join the sequence.
- Add Single Contact - Use the Add a single contact search bar to find the contact. You can search by name, email address, or phone number. If you wish to add a new contact who doesn't exist in Distro, click +Add new person and enter the contact's information.
- Import from CSV File - You can directly import a CSV file with a list of your contacts into a sequence. Simply click on the Import CSV button and follow the on-screen instructions. For a detailed guide on importing a CSV file, check out this article.
- Once you're done, click Save.
Now that you've successfully added new contacts to your sequence, keep in mind that each one will begin at the very first step, no matter where others are in the process. This ensures a consistent experience for every contact in the sequence.
