How to Add numbers to a number group

This article provides a detailed overview of how to add, remove and reassign numbers in a number group. 

 

To add numbers to a number group follow these steps:

1. Select Phone Numbers from the hamburger menu on the side navigation. This will direct you to your Numbers page.
2. On your numbers page, select the phone number(s) you want to add to a group
3. On the action bar at the bottom of the page, select Add to group, this will open up the Change number group modal.
4. Next, click on the Change number group dropdown and select a number group to add the number(s) to
5. Click Update. 

 

To remove a number from a number group, follow these steps

1. Select Phone Numbers from the hamburger menu on the side navigation. This will direct you to your Numbers page.
2. On the sidebar of your Numbers page, select Number Groups under the Phone Numbers section.
3. On your Number Groups page, select a number group you wish to remove a number(s) from.
4. On the number group's page, select the phone number(s) you wish to remove from the group.
5. From the Numbers page, select the number to be removed from a group.
6. On the action bar at the bottom of the page, select Remove from group.

The phone number(s) will automatically be reassigned to the General team once they have been removed from the number group.

 

Follow the steps below to reassign a phone number to a team or team member

1. Select Phone Numbers from the hamburger menu on the side navigation. This will direct you to your Numbers page.
2. On your Numbers page, select the number you want to reassign to a team or team member. This will open up the Assign to team or team member modal.
3. Next, click on the Select team or team member dropdown and select a new team/team member to reassign the number to.
4. Click Assign.

Note: When you reassign a number to a new owner, you remove it from any groups it previously belonged to, and you also reassign their calls and messages to the new owner.
